Schedule for Events and Important Meetings 2013 - 2014  

 

Sept 8th                 General Parent Meeting – for returning parents and anyone new to the parish.                                                                10:00a.m. in the Hall (following coffee).

Sept. 8th              Confirmation Meeting for Parents – Grade 9parents.  4:00p.m. in the Hall.

Sept. 22nd                              Parish BBQ :  2p.m. – 6p.m.

Oct. 9th                               Wednesday classes begin with grades one and two.

Nov. 3rd                                                First Penance Parent Meeting – 4:00p.m. in the Hall.

Dec. 24th                               Reenactment of the Nativity Gospel – Family Mass 6:00p.m.

Jan. 25th                                First Penance Service - 10:00 a.m. in the church

Jan. 26th                                St. John’s 9 & 10 grades are invited to our Teen Mass @ 5:00p.m.

March 5th                            Following Ash Wed. service (2:10 p.m.) – Open House for parents in                                                 the school.

March 1st                             Retreat for Grade 10 in Dover.

March 2nd                             First Communion Parent Meeting – 4:00p.m. in the Hall.

March 9th                           Open House for Sunday Classes:  10:15 – 11:15p.m.

April 18th                            Living Way of the Cross:  3:00p.m.

May 3rd & 10th                  First Communion Masses                                            

Confirmation                     Sunday at 3:00p.m.  (Be in the Hall by 2:30p.m.)

 

Special Masses – The first Sunday of the month we feature our Teen Choir and invite different grades to participate in the Family Mass @ 9:00a.m. 

Teen Masses – In lieu of class, all Confirmation students are required to attend the Teen Mass; Middle School students are encouraged to attend.  Following Mass a “pot luck” supper is held.  Teen Masses are scheduled for Oct. 27th, Nov. 17th,  Dec.8th at St. John's, Jan. 26th, and March 23rd.

Safety Classes -   During the year we conduct three age appropriate classes on abuse, bullying, and how to keep safe in potentially dangerous situations.  Classes are given in grades 1 – 8 and are announced on the schedule.
