Religious Education Update

Our Wednesday Program is Filling Up

Our Wednesday program is filling up – as of this date, Grade 3 Wednesday Session is full. Please
register for other classes as soon as possible. If the class you select is full, we will notify you and
offer alternatives that we hope will fit your schedule. Have a wonderful summer!

Things you may need to know…

FIRST COMMUNION PREP: Any child wishing to prepare for First Communion in grade two must have a year of religious education in grade one, or similar experience.
CONFIRMATION PREP: Any young person wishing to be confirmed must have two years of high school religious education, which usually occurs in grades nine and ten. If you are a rising ninth or tenth grader, registering for the Confirmation program is important. All high school students are invited to participate in this program. Students who attend a Catholic High School do not have to attend the first year of Confirmation prep, but must attend the second year.
FAMILY CLUSTER: For those who have a hard time making our scheduled classes, we offer a Family
Cluster curriculum that you can do at home with other families. This program is a wonderful solution for families who can’t attend our Wednesday or Sunday sessions. The program is not available for those preparing for First Communion or Confirmation.
CLASSES: Grades 1 – 5 meet on either Sunday mornings from 10:15 – 11:15am or Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 – 3:00pm
Grades 7 & 8 meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 6:00pm (Oct – Dec)
Confirmation meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00pm (Six classes per year plus Teen Masses).
Grade 6 meets for Summer Blast or meets on during our Sunday morning session (Oct – Dec)
REGISTRATION FOR FALL: Registration information has been sent to everyone who has been
enrolled in our program. If you did not receive a registration, or are new to our program, please go
online and fill out the online version.
